ABC New 5 in Moscow, Ohio (who knew there was a Moscow in Ohio?) reported an area homeowner  facing foreclosure bulldozed his own home to the ground to “send a message” to his bank.  The owner Terry Hopkins built the home now valued at $350,000 over ten years ago and reportedly has had trouble paying his note for a while.

According to ABC 5 he only owned $170,000 on the property so it makes you wonder why he didn’t sell the home before it went into foreclosure. Unfortunately for Mr. Hopkins his battle with the bank will continue because now the bank has no way to recoup any monies from the unpaid mortgage.   It will be interesting to see what action the bank takes against the home owner.
